Hangeh Conversations with Tamer Soleiman

We had the pleasure of speaking with Tamer Soleiman, an Ottawa-based writer, producer, and film-maker.

Tamer recently released highly acclaimed and eye-opening documentary called the “The Great Disconnect”. The film explores why, in a world seemingly more connected than ever before, people are feeling more and more socially isolated – and the true cost this has on our lives and communities.

Since its official launch in October 2019, the film has screened across Canada through multiple cities and ten countries across Europe. It has also been featured in over twelve independent film festivals.

In this conversation we learn about Tamer's journey, the inspiration behind The Great Disconnect, the extent of social isolation in major cities, and lessons from renowned experts in how we can create connected communities.
